FirstRand is South Africa's largest financial services group by market capitalisation, and the parent of First National Bank (FNB), Rand Merchant Bank (RMB), WesBank and Aldermore in the UK. It provides retail, commercial, corporate, investment banking and insurance across South Africa and other African markets.

The group is one of the biggest professional-services employers on the continent, hiring at scale in relationship banking, capital markets, technology, data, actuarial and risk functions. Its FNB App is one of the most-used pieces of consumer software in South Africa, and the technology organisation is correspondingly large.
