Anglo American is a global mining company producing copper, iron ore, platinum group metals, diamonds through De Beers, steelmaking coal and nickel. Although its primary listing is in London, its historical base and much of its operating footprint remain in Southern Africa, particularly for platinum group metals and iron ore.

The group hires mining and metallurgical engineers, geologists, mechanical and electrical artisans, environmental scientists and finance and technology professionals, with well-known graduate and bursary programmes across South Africa.
